Andrew Branch writes about social class, how it positions people spatially and why the forms of individualism valorised in much contemporary culture is politically regressive. He also retains an interest in how workers in the new ‘creative’ industries negotiate the complex relations between commercial imperatives and creative practice. Andrew’s writing has appeared in internationally-renowned journals and his latest publication is on the emergence of Southend’s Junk Club in the mid-90s. He lives in Leigh-on-Sea, where he occasionally DJs.
